NORTH BEACH WHOLE HOUSE

This comprehensive remodel of a mid-century home was driven by the goal of creating seamless interior-exterior connections throughout to capitalize on the breathtaking views of the Puget Sound and the surrounding Pacific Northwest landscape. The focal points of this project include a second-story primary suite addition and a full house remodel, including relocating the stairwell, a cantilevered patio, and redesigning and expanding the footprint of the kitchen.

The integration of the NanaWall system played a pivotal role in achieving the project’s primary design goal, not only enhancing the indoor-outdoor lifestyle that appeals to our clients but also serving as a multifunctional element, acting as both a single door and a removable wall. The latter allows for the patio space to serve as an extension of the living and dining areas, effectively doubling this square footage. This transformation fosters a strong connection between the interior and exterior by creating a view pathway from the back of the home to the panoramic Puget Sound view at the front. This sightline extension enhances the overall aesthetic and functionality of the home, providing a unique and captivating living experience for the homeowners.
